overlapping memories es un proyecto de intercambio entre artistas visuales de Pittsburgh y Quart de Poblet que involucra a artistas residentes en ambas ciudades. La idea del intercambio es conectar artistas contemporáneos de EEUU y España, los cuales han sido invitados a crear obras inspiradas en los conceptos de memoria e introspección utilizando técnicas contemporáneas de collage.
overlapping memories is a visual art exchange project between Pittsburgh and Quart de Poblet involving artists based in both cities. The idea of the exchange is to connect contemporary artists from U.S.A and Spain who have been invited to respond to the concept of memory and retrospection in the context of contemporary collage.
La parte norteamericana del proyecto está coordinada por Carolina Loyola Garcia, artista, profesora de universidad y comisaria afincada en Pittsburgh, PA. Los eventos y la exposición tendrán lugar en SPACE, Pittsburgh, del 10 de febrero hasta el 1 de abril 2012.
The U.S.A part of the proposed project is principally coordinated by Carolina Loyola Garcia, artist, university lecturer and curator based in Pittsburgh, PA. Residencies and events will take place in SPACE, Pittsburgh, from the 10th of February to the 1st of April 2012.

La parte española del proyecto está coordinada por Ima Picó, artista y directora de black duck y Cristina Ghetti, artista y directora de Red Nomade. Los eventos y la exposición tendrán lugar en Quart Jove, Quart de Poblet desde el 25 de febrero hasta el 24 de marzo 2012.
The Spanish part of the proposed project is principally coordinated by Ima Picó, artist and director of black duck and Cristina Ghetti, artist and director of Red Nomade. Residencies and events will take place in Quart Jove, Quart de Poblet from the 25th of February to the 24th of March 2012.
